Libra New Moon Oct. 20, 2025

The Moon aligns with the Sun in the last degree of Libra tomorrow at 8:25am for the first New Moon outside of eclipse season. This marks the beginning of a 30 day Lunar cycle for the 7th sign of the zodiac, focusing on finding and maintaining balance, expressing fairness, and appreciating beauty all around us. Just three hours later Luna enters Scorpio, followed by Sol late Wednesday night.

Having the New Moon occur so late into a sign almost feels like we should be focusing on the upcoming Lunar energy, but that's where we could set ourselves up for more problems relating with others, even losing the opportunity to heal our relationship with ourselves first. Honesty, understanding and humility are hallmarks of Libra, and the primary place we need to seek harmony is within.

This chart shows the Moon and Sun making two quincunx aspects to Neptune and Uranus in a configuration called a Yod, or Finger of God.

A new start is called for in how we allow ourselves to use the creativity of our imagination while trusting our intuition, then adjusting to our unique skills and ability to think outside the box, thus utilizing the gentle nature available for accessing inner peace and being able to spread that out into the world around us.

This ability to harness inner peace will come in handy for dealing with the current power dynamics of Pluto's square to the New Moon. We'll need to maintain our composure and control our emotions as we do the delicate dance of compromise. Truly, it's like walking a tightrope across as chasm of emotions and using gentle movements to keep from falling.

The good news is that Mars and Jupiter can lend some enthusiasm and optimism which will help guide you to your personal goals. Be as kind to yourself as you strive to be to others.
