Today's Full Moon takes place in the14th degree of the Fixed Earth sign Taurus. The Moon's opposition to the Sun in Scorpio, Fixed Fire, can be a powerful place for productivity and follow-through. The Moon is exalted in Taurus, meaning that other than her natural home in the sign of Cancer, she is emotionally comfortable in this sign of pleasure, comfort and stability and will work steadily to maintain a harmonious environment.
The Sun's placement in Scorpio is driven to find deeper meaning and purpose in partnerships, as well as being willing to go beneath the surface for a more fulfilling relationship with one's own psyche. Together, Taurus and Scorpio bring loyalty, passion and intensity to whatever they are focused on acheiving, whether persoanl or business endeavors.
This Full Moon chart shows a polarity of Luna and Sol between the 5th and 11th Houses that highlights creativity, enjoyment and self-expression that can be shared with friends and associates of like-minded groups, making for a more conducive environment that serves the greater good. The caution here is to not get stuck in drama or having to have one's way when what is really important is the whole!
On a side note, I feel that this Full Moon was in play at last night's Special
Town Meeting on Nantucket where a large number of island residents came together after intense work over many years to look at the pros and cons of an issue that sorely needed to be addressed.
Another factor of this Full Moon is an energetic aspect called a Yod between Venus in refined Libra making adjustments to both Neptune and Uranus which makes it tricky to find harmony between caring for others and being able to still care for yourself and be an individual. Remembering to be your authentic and creative self could help you find the balance.
One last note on this Moon's chart... Mars and Mercury in the early degrees of Sagittarius, seeking a broader future view of how to serve humanity, are still opposing revolutionary Uranus and causing conflict around whose ideas are better or what to do about this or that. Venus as ruler of the Taurus Moon advises a gentler approach to finding and maintaining stability, keeping things simple and appreciating what you have and your community of family, friends and neighbors.
