Sagittarius New Moon
Tonight's New Moon comes in at 28°24' of Fiery Sagittarius. Joining the Sun and Moon at 24°11' is Venus, and following behind at 10°57' Sagittarius is Mercury. Mars crossed out of Sag and entered the sign of his exultation, Capricorn, 4 days ago. We still have 3 planets in Water signs - Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune, and 2 in Earth - Mars and Uranus, still Rx in Taurus, That leaves only Pluto in an Air sign - Aquarius.
Elementally, with three planets in Sagittarius, there's a lot of Fire for enthusiasm and inspiration. As you know, Sagittarius has a broad vision of what's to come, setting his sights on future goals. Balancing out all the warmth and fervor of expansion are the three planets in Water, tempering our emotions and pulling us inward to ask how we feel about moving so fast.
Mars is happy in Capricorn because he gets to use his energy working steadily to build something solid and practical. Uranus stays retrograde in earthy Taurus throughout January and into the beginning of February, when it turns Direct and moves through the remaining degrees of Taurus and into the Mutable Air sign Gemini on April 24, 2026, staying in there until May 2033. We can expect upheaval in ideas, communication and technology throughout that time.
Back to the present... there's a lot of interaction with this New Moon, a lot of attention-getting activity and raised voices. Everyone seems to be clamoring for change, yet no-one seems to want to compromise on the best steps forward. I feel it's imperative that we honor our inner voices, trust our intuition, and be temperate in our actions. Authenticity and honesty are hallmarks of Sagittarius.
We are definitely in a time of transition and there's more to come in the Spring of 2026. Until then try to relax and recoup your resources, especially your health, and imagine the most appropriate path forward in the Spring. Hasty actions won't bring satisfaction in the long run. Continue to release what has outlived it's usefulness and make space for something new next year.
